Angelo’s Italian Market Inc., a London, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Norovirus contamination and consequential risks of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato products are subject to this recall:
- Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato, sold in 1 Litre containers at Angelo’s Italian Market Inc., 755 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario, up to and including June 14, 2022 with a partial UPC of 0 000000 067430
==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
These Gelato products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the province of Ontario although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.
According to the CFIA, Angelo’s Italian Market has recalled certain batch/lots of Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Norovirus contamination.
In this case, this recall was initiated after it was determined that the Raspberries used in these products may have been subject to an earlier recall due to suspected Norovirus contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Gelato Artigianale al gusto di Raspberry Gelato, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
