==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
These French Lentil + Leek Crumbles were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the continental United States through Web sales and direct delivery, as well as through retail sales at the Daily Harvest store in Chicago, Illinois and a pop-up store in Los Angeles, California, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.
According to the FDA, Daily Harvest has recalled an estimated 28,000 packages of Daily Harvest French Lentil + Leek Crumbles from the American marketplace due to possible spoilage and/or unknown contamination and consequential risks of bacterial and/or viral infection. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Daily Harvest French Lentil + Leek Crumbles identified above.
In this case, the company has received approximately 470 reports of illness or adverse reactions, reportedly caused by the consumption of these products.
==> For information about Botulism, E. Coli Poisoning, Listeriosis (Listeria poisoning) or Salmonellosis (Salmonella poisoning), please consult the “Illnesses” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled food products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Daily Harvest French Lentil + Leek Crumbles to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial and/or viral poisonings.
