According to the CPSC, the Throttle Cable in the recalled Utility Vehicles can freeze at low ambient temperatures, resulting in a stuck Throttle. If this defect occurs, it can cause the Brakes to fail to stop the vehicle, posing risks of crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Additionally, on certain Model Year 2022 Intimidator GC1K vehicles, the onboard software does not prevent operators from exceeding 15 miles per hour (“mph”) when the Seatbelt is disengaged, posing a crash hazard.

Intimidator has received 393 reports of throttle cables freezing, including four (4) reports of crashes resulting in tissue bruising. There were no reported incidents of excess speed when the Seatbelt is disengaged.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Intimidator and Mahindra branded Utility Vehicles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact an authorized Intimidator or Mahindra Dealer to schedule a free repair and to receive a software update/fix for the speed limiter.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.
