European Union Recalls 37 Products, Toys & Vehicles

Among the thirty-seven (37) recalls the European Union announced in its fourth (and final) report of May 2022, the following recall notification was made:

Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray/Body Deodorant products sold with a batch/lot designation of CRA1772006 and an EAN/barcode of 8699104130434. This recall alert was submitted by Lithuania to the EU Safety Gateway under alert number A12/00784/22.

These Men’s Perfume Spray products were marketed, sold and delivered as body deodorants/perfumes for men used after showering or bathing. They were sold in black colored aerosol aluminum bottles with orange and white text identifying the products.

No manufacturing date codes, batch/lot designations, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The hazard reported in the recalled Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray products involve Butylphenyl Methylpropional. This chemical is forbidden in European cosmetic products because of its reported adverse effects on human health including skin sensitisation and Dermatitis.

As a consequence, utilizing this product in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use, a user of these recalled Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray products can suffer serious injury and/or life-changing health consequences.

Proposed Remedy:
Due to these defects, the recalled Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray products reportedly do not comply with the health and safety requirements of Europe’s Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Consequently, a withdrawal of these recalled Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray products from the European marketplace has been ordered. You should not market, sell or use these recalled protective protective mask products.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Crea branded Whoops! Dynamic Orange For Men Perfume Spray products please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or online outlet where you purchased them for a refund.

If you have a medical emergency, please contact 1-1-2, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis, respiratory impairment and/or cardiac injury.

Please note: 1-1-2 (also written as “112”) is the universal European emergency number you can dial free of charge from fixed and mobile phones anywhere in the EU. It will connect you to the local emergency services including police, ambulance, fire brigade. National emergency numbers are still in use too, alongside 1-1-2. but 1-1-2 is the only number you can use to access the emergency services in all EU countries.
