European Union Recalls 30 Products, Toys & Vehicles

Among the thirty (30) recalls the European Union announced in its fourth report of April 2022, the following recall notification was made:

Aroma King branded 600-Puff Disposable e-Cigarettes

Aroma King branded 600-Puff Disposable e-Cigarettes sold with a manufacture date code of 2021.10.21 (i.e., October 20, 2021) and an expiry date code of 2023.10.20 (i.e., October 20, 2023). This recall alert was submitted by Ireland to the EU Safety Gateway under alert number A12/00605/22.

These Aroma King branded Disposable e-Cigarettes were marketed, sold and delivered as disposable electronic cigarettes products with sufficient material for 600 puffs and a rating of 20 mg/ml (2%) declared nicotine concentration, volume 2 ml.

The recalled Disposable e-Cigarettes products were reportedly sold in rectangular boxes in various colors depending on the flavor and contained one (1) pre-filled disposable electronic cigarette in a sealed plastic pouch. Please see the photograph at the left for details.

No EANs/barcodes, UPCs, DINs, best-before date codes, model numbers, batch/lot designations, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The following flavors of the Aroma King branded Disposable e-Cigarettes were included in this recall at press time:

    • Green Apple

    • Monster
    • Peach Ice
    • Strawberry Ice
    • Strawberry Ice-Cream
    • Watermelon Ice

The hazard reported in the recalled Aroma King branded 600-Puff Disposable e-Cigarettes is that the products reportedly exceed the maximum permitted amount of Nicotine (measured values: up to 50.4 mg/ml) and do not have an information leaflet warning of the dangerous of the active drug, Nicotine. The chemical Nicotine is acutely toxic to humans and can endanger the user’s safety if the product comes accidentally into contact with the skin or is ingested.

As a consequence, utilizing these products in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use, a user of the recalled Disposable e-Cigarette products can suffer serious injury and/or life-changing health consequences.

Proposed Remedy:
Due to these defects, the recalled Aroma King branded 600-Puff Disposable e-Cigarettes reportedly do not comply with the health and safety requirements of Europe’s Tobacco Products Directive.

Consequently, a withdrawal of the Aroma King branded Disposable e-Cigarettes from customers in Europe as well as a ban on importation of these products into the European Union has been ordered. You should not market, sell or use these recalled protective smartwatch products.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Aroma King branded Disposable e-Cigarettes, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or online outlet where you purchased it for a refund.

A Note on Smoking:
According to the European Commission’s Public Health Department, Tobacco consumption is the single largest avoidable health risk, and the most significant cause of premature death in the EU. It will connect you to the local emergency services including police, ambulance, fire brigade. National emergency numbers are still in use too, alongside 1-1-2. but 1-1-2 is the only number you can use to access the emergency services in all EU countries.
