US FlagUS/Washington: The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”), a statutory regulatory and food safety authority, issues formal a Public Health Alert for various ready-to-eat (“RTE”) Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salads that may include Thai-style Salad Dressing that contain undeclared Egg, Milk, Peanut and Wheat all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death..

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salads were produced on or about dates ranging from March 8, 2022 to March 17, 2022 and are subject to this warming:

  • Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily Southwest Salads, packaged in 12-ounce plastic containers with best-by dates ranging from 3/15/22 through 3/24/22. This Salad may include Thai-style Salad Dressing containing undeclared Peanut and Wheat.
  • Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily Chicken BLT Salads, packaged in 12-ounce plastic containers with best-by dates ranging from 3/15/22 through 3/24/22. This Salad may include Thai-style Salad Dressing containing undeclared Peanut.
  • Signature Café Thai Style Salads with White Meat Chicken, packaged in 11-ounce plastic containers with best-by dates ranging from 3/15/22 through 3/24/22, This Salad may include Thai-style Salad Dressing containing undeclared Egg and Milk.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, its Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) has issued a formal Public Health Alert for various Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salad products with Thai-style Salad Dressing due to suspected Egg, Milk, Peanut and Wheat.

The products are from various establishments and bear establishment number “P-38458” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

These Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salads were known to be marketed, distributed and sold to retail locations in Alaska, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, its Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) has issued a formal Public Health Alert for various ready-to-eat (“RTE”) Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salads due to suspected plastic fragment contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Crunchy Slaw products identified above.

This Public Health Alert was issued when the producing establishment notified FSIS that it received a consumer complaint that incorrect Salad Dressing was included in the Salad packaging.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Charlie’s Delivered Fresh Daily & Signature Café Salads, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
