US FlagUS/Bethesda: RB Health (US) LLC, doing business as Reckitt, a Parsippany, New Jersey establishment, recalls an estimated 3.74 million bottles of Reckitt Airborne Assorted Fruit Flavor Supplement Gummies from the American marketplace due to suspected packaging overpressure and consequential risks of eye injury and laceration upon sudden bottle decompression, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain batch/lots of Airborne Supplement Gummies marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, as follows:

  • Airborne Gummies – Assorted Fruit Immune Support Supplements – 63 count bottles
  • Airborne Gummies – Assorted Fruit Immune Support Supplements – 75 count bottles

Please note additional information, including the recalled batch/lot designations, expiration dates and UPCs, are available on the Web site above.

==> No NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, when opened for the first time, pressure build up in the bottle can cause the cap and underlying seal to pop off with force, posing an injury hazard to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use. Reckitt has received seventy (70) reports of the cap or seal popping off the bottles, including ten (18) reports of minor injuries and one (1) report of an eye injury requiring medical attention.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Reckitt Airborne Supplement Gummies, please use caution. If you have an unopened bottle (or bottles), DO NOT attempt to open the product, Instead, please contact Reckitt to return the unopened bottle(s) to receive a full refund. A postage-paid label will be provided. Bottles that have already been opened are not subject to this recall as they would have released any pressure build up and do not present an injury hazard.
