Among the forty-one (41) recalls the European Union announced in its second report of February 2022, the following recall notification was made:

ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chairs

ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chairs sold with a model number of ZOP055710 but no listed EAN/barcode. This recall alert was submitted by Poland to the EU Safety Gateway under alert number A12/00166/22.

These ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chairs products are marketed, sold and delivered as consumer grade high chairs designed for young children and composed of hard plastic with productive textile coverings on the seats, back and other areas.

No EANs/barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, batch/lot designations, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The type of hazards presented in the recalled ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chair products include the reported finding that the due to presence of the Chair openings, the Stuffing Material of the productive textile coverings is accessible.

As a consequence, by utilizing the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and/or anticipated use, a child could suffer serious health and safety results requiring immediate medical intervention.

Specifically, a child could detach and/or remove some Stuffing Material from the recalled High Chair and place this material in the mouth. If this defect occurs, it may cause choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage and bowel obstruction, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

In addition, presence of the openings, rips or tears in the covering of the Stuffing Material poses a risk of finger, hand or body entrapment.

Proposed Remedy:
Due to these defects, these ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chairs do not reportedly comply with Europe’s General Product Safety Directive and with the European health and safety regulatory standard EN 14988.

Consequently, a withdrawal of the furniture products from the European marketplace has been ordered.

Logo - IVOLIAIf you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled ZOPA branded IVOLIA High Chairs, please do not use them nor let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or online outlet where you purchased it for a refund.
