UK FlagUK/London: Bryans Salads, a Tarleton, Preston, Lancashire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salad, Prawn Pasta Salad and Cheese Pasta Salads from the British marketplace due to reported incorrect best-by dates and consequential risks of spoilage, bacterial and/or viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Salad products branded Salads are subject to recall:

  • Bryans Salads branded Cheese Pasta Salads, packaged in 300 gram plastic trays with a stated (but incorrect) use-by date of 7 February 2022
  • Bryans Salads branded Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salads, packaged in 300 gram plastic trays with a stated (but incorrect) use-by date of 7 February 2022
  • Bryans Salads branded Prawn Pasta Salads, packaged in 300 gram plastic trays with a stated (but incorrect) use-by date of 7 February 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Bryans Salads has recalled certain batch/lots of Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salads, Prawn Pasta Salads and Cheese Pasta Salads from the British marketplace due to reported incorrect best-by dates and consequential risks of spoilage. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salads identified above.

The Salad products listed above have been incorrectly labelled with a use-by date of “7 February 2022” rather of the correct use-by date of “7 January 2022”. Due to this defect, the recalled Salads should be considered unsafe to consume after 7 January, 2022, the intended use-by date, due to risks of spoilage and bacterial growth.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Bryans Salads products, please do not serve or consume them. Instead, return the Salads to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat possible bacterial poisonings such as Botulism, Listeriosis or Salmonellosis.
