The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Baked Goods
  • Beans
  • Drinks
  • Fats and Oils
  • Fish products
  • Flour
  • Grains
  • Grocery Canned Goods
  • Meat products
  • Milk Powder
  • Spices

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These various food products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Bistak Enterprises Inc. and Bistak Groceries Inc. have recalled all current batch/lots of Dry Foods such as Grains, Beans, Flour; Grocery Canned Goods; Fats and Oils; Drinks; Meat Products; Fish products; Baked Goods; Spices; and Milk Powder from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Food products identified above.
