US FlagUS/Washington: Kettle River Products, an Askov, Minnesota establishment, recalls an estimated 1,464 pounds of Chicken Alfredo Pizza from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and/or mispackaging with consequential undeclared Wheat, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following frozen, heat-treated, not fully cooked Chicken Alfredo Pizza products were produced on various dates between December 9, 2021 through January 3, 2022 and are subject to this recall:

  • Kettle River Chicken Alfredo Pizza, sold in 12-inch, 25-ounce plastic-wrapped packages with a batch/lot code of 21343, 21349, 21362 or 22011

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Chicken Alfredo Pizza can be found on the Web site above. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Pizza products identified above.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-04203” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These Chicken Alfredo Pizza product were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US states of Minnesota and Wisconsin although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the company used labels intended for a different product that does not contain Wheat and reported the issue to FSIS.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Kettle River Chicken Alfredo Pizza, products and could be allergic to their Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.
