Canada/Ottawa: Games Workshop Retail, Inc., a Toronto, Ontario establishment, recalls all current batch/lots of Koyo Bounca the Squig Limited Edition Plush Toys from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected component detachment and consequential risks of choking, respiratory arrest, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Children’s Plush Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Koyo Bounca the Squig Limited Edition Plush Toys, consisting of an orange plush monster with two legs, no arms, large teeth, grey antlers with various coloured pom-poms attached and sized approximately 20 cm tall with a model number of 99709989004 and a UPC of 5060581933932

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Children’s Plush Toys can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Children’s Plush Toys may have been marketed, distributed and sold in all Canadian provinces although it is always possible these Toy products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As of December 9, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States. Internationally, however, the company has received one (1) report of an incident where the pom-poms have detached from the product with no reports of injuries.

According to Health Canada, Games Workshop Retail has recalled all current batch/lots of Koyo Bounca the Squig Limited Edition Plush Toys from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected component detachment.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Children’s Plush Toys, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact a Games Workshop or Warhammer store for information on how to obtain a full refund or store credit.
