US/Silver Spring: Haifa Smoked Fish, a Jamaica, New York establishment, recalls an estimated 920 pounds (from four batch/lots) of Haifa branded Cold Smoked Turbot Fish from the American marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
