One World Foods Tandoori Oven Chicken Kebabs [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: One World Foods Inc., a Markham, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Tandoori Oven branded Chicken Kebabs from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten and Wheat, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious health and safety hazard requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chicken Kebab products are subject to this recall:

• Tandoori Oven branded Chicken Kebabs, sold in 240 gram packages with a date code of 2023-01-31 and a UPC of 0 5566910034 9

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Chicken Kebabs were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian province of Ontario, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, One World Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Tandoori Oven branded Chicken Kebab from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten and Wheat. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken Kebab product identified above.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Tandoori Oven branded Chicken Kebab products and could be allergic to their Gluten and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
