According to the CFIA, Solfish Poissons et Fruits de Mer Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of Le Soleil du Sud branded Wild Argentina Shrimps from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Sulphites (Sulfites). ==> For information about Sulphite/Sulfite Allergy, please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.
Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Le Soleil du Sud Wild Argentina Shrimps and could be allergic to their Sulphite/Sulfite ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
