Additional information:

Among the ninety (90) recalls the NHTSA announced in November came news of the following:

Logo - Chrysler (FCA US LLC)Chrysler (FCA US LLC), an Auburn Hills, Michigan establishment and a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV of Amsterdam, Netherlands has recalled an estimated 38,157 model year 2021 Chrysler Ram 1500 Pickup Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Back Over Prevention, Steering – Rearview image may not display in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 111

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V918000 reports the Trailer Reverse Steering Control Module (“TRSCM”) may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, “Rear Visibility.”

According to the NHTSA, a Rearview Camera that does not display an image reduces the driver’s rear view, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Logo - RAM==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.
