Among the seventy-five (75) recalls the NHTSA announced in November comes news of the following:

Logo - Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)Chrysler (FCA US LLC), an Auburn Hills, Michigan establishment and a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV of Amsterdam, Netherlands has recalled an estimated 11,419 model year 2020-2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport Cars marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Fuel System, Gasoline – Fuel Line Sensor Housing may leak

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V878000 reports the Fuel Line Sensor Housing may crack and leak fuel..

According to the NHTSA, a fuel leak may cause an Engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results. In addition, a short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire, explosion, burns and/or smoke inhalation with consequential life-changing or life-ending results.

Logo - Fiat==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries, burns, scalds, blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Chrysler (FCA US LLC) Dealers will replace the Fuel Line Sensor Housing, as necessary, free of charge during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 1, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is Y91.
