Logo - General Motors LLCGeneral Motors LLC (“GM”), a Detroit, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 3,241 model year 2021-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, Chevrolet Silverado 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 and GMC Sierra 3500 vehicles with Electronic Brake Control Modules (“EBCM”) replaced during Pickup Trucks assembly marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V758000 reports the Bolts that attach the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (“BPMV”) Assembly may not be properly tightened, which could fail to seal the two sub-assemblies and allow water intrusion.

According to the NHTSA, water in the BPMV may cause an electrical short circuit and increase the risk of fire, explosion, burns and/or smoke inhalation with consequential life-changing or life-ending results.
