Logo - Ford Motor CompanyFord Motor Company (“Ford”), a Dearborn, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 47,683 model year 2019-2021 Ford Ranger Super Cab Pickup Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Seat Belts – Seat Belt routed incorrectly in apparent contravention of FMVSS 208 & 209

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V811000 reports the Front Passenger Outboard Seat Belt may not have been assembled properly, allowing the Seat Belt to be misrouted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, “Occupant Crash Protection” and 209, “Seat Belt Assemblies.”

According to the NHTSA, a misrouted Seat Belt may not adequately restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Logo - Ford Ranger==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.
