Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Fruit X Pty Ltd., a Moonee Ponds, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Fruit X branded Berries Blueberry Chocolate Confections from the Australian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential Macadamia Nuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-changing injury.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Chocolate Confection products are subject to this recall:

  • Fruit X branded Berries Blueberry Chocolates, sold in 150 gram trays with clear plastic packaging, a use-by date code of 31-12-2022 and an APN/barcode number of 9330529000153

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Chocolate Confection products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Australian state of Victoria although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the ACCC, Fruit X Pty has recalled certain batch/lots of Fruit X branded Berries Blueberry Chocolate Confections from the Australian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential Macadamia Nuts.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Fruit X branded Berries Blueberry Chocolate Confections and could be allergic to their Macadamia Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
