Among the nineteen (19) recalls the European Union announced in its fourth report of October 2021, the following recall notification was made:

Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid

Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid, packaged with a batch/lot designation of 15:07 200523 B41507-20 and a barcode/EAN of 5060530944293 This recall alert was submitted by Lithuania to the EU Safety Gateway.

These Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid products are marketed, sold and delivered as flavored liquid for filling electronic cigarettes, commonly called “vaping”. The recalled Nicotine Liquid products are packaged in 10 ml clear plastic bottles light blue/turquoise screw caps and black and white identification writing and sold in a matching cardboard box.

No DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, model numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid products include the reported finding that the Nicotine Liquid product contains an excessive amount of the drug Nicotine (measured value 24 mg/ml), making it acutely toxic especially when in contact with the skin or if it is ingested.

As a consequence, any person who utilizes these Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquids in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use may become ill, perhaps acutely so, with skin contact and/or ingestion.

Due to these defects, these Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid products do not reportedly fulfill European Tobacco Products Directive.

As a result of these reported defects, a withdrawal of the Dr. Frost branded Salt Nic Honeydew & Blackcurrant Ice Nicotine Liquid products from the European marketplace has been ordered.
