US FlagUS/Washington: Kohl’s Inc., a Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin establishment, recalls an estimated 31,000 Kohl’s Sonoma Goods For Life Branded Ultimate Oversized Antigravity Chairs from the American marketplace due to suspected structural failure and consequential risks of falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury ll serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-changing injury.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Oversized Antigravity Chairs marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, as follows:

  • Sonoma Goods For Life-branded Ultimate Oversized Antigravity Chairs in numerous colors, each with an aluminum frame, a fabric seat/back and a removable head pillow attached with Velcro. The support tubes of the aluminum legs are square and the eyelets attaching the fabric to the frame are covered with fabric and are not visible from the top of the chair. Finally, there is a sewn-in tag on the fabric on the seat of the Chairs.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Oversized Antigravity Chairs can break during use, posing fall and injury hazards to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use. Kohl’s Inc. has received eighteen (18) reports of the chairs breaking or collapsing, including two (2) reports of minor injuries.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sonoma Goods For Life-branded Ultimate Oversized Antigravity Chairs, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.
