US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Logo - Northeast Seafood ProductsNortheast Seafood Products, a Denver, Corlorado establishment, recalls all current batch/lots of various Fish products including All Natural Salmon Fillet, Atlantic Salmon Portions, Bone-in Trout, Coho Salmon, Farm Raised Striped Bass, Grouper, Haddock, Halibut, Lane Snapper, Monkfish, Ocean Perch, Pacific Cod, Pacific Sole, Red Rock Cod, Red Snapper and Tilapia from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-changing injury.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Seafood Fish are subject to this recall:

  • All Natural Salmon Fillet
  • Atlantic Salmon Portions
  • Bone-in Trout
  • Coho Salmon
  • Farm Raised Striped Bass
  • Grouper
  • Haddock
  • Halibut
  • Lane Snapper
  • Monkfish
  • Ocean Perch
  • Pacific Cod
  • Pacific Sole
  • Red Rock Cod
  • Red Snapper
  • Tilapia

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Fish products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from May 2021 to October 7, 2021 to restaurants and Albertsons, Safeway and Sprouts supermarkets in the US state of Colorado although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information. The recalled Fish products would have sold out of their fresh seafood cases.

According to the FDA, Northeast Seafood Products has recalled all current batch/lots of various Fish products including All Natural Salmon Fillet, Atlantic Salmon Portions, Bone-in Trout, Coho Salmon, Farm Raised Striped Bass, Grouper, Haddock, Halibut, Lane Snapper, Monkfish, Ocean Perch, Pacific Cod, Pacific Sole, Red Rock Cod, Red Snapper and Tilapia from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Fish products identified above.

Please note: while these Fish products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products during the time period ranging from May and October 2021, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fish products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Fish to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Salmonellosis.
