US FlagUS/Washington: Nestle USA Inc., a Schaumburg, Illinois establishment, recalls an estimated 27,872 pounds of frozen DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza products from the American marketplace due to suspected suspected mislabeling/mispackaging and consequential undeclared Soy, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-changing injury.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Frozen Pepperoni Pizza products are thought to have been produced on or about June 30, 2021 and are subject to this recall:

  • Digiorno Pepperoni Crispy Pan Crust Pizza, packaged in 26-ounce cartons with a batch/lot code of 1181510721 and a “best buy” [sic] date of MAR2022

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Frozen Pepperoni Pizza products were marketed, distributed and sold in all US states although it is always possible these Frozen Pepperoni Pizza products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, Nestle USA has recalled an estimated 27,872 pounds of frozen DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza products from the American marketplace due to suspected suspected mislabeling/mispackaging and consequential undeclared Soy.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 1682A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Establishment 1682A is Nation Pizza Products Limited, which is owned by Nestle USA, Inc.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Frozen Pepperoni Pizza products products and could be allergic to their Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
