UK FlagUK/London: Edwards of Conwy, a Conwy, North Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Edwards of Conwy branded Traditional Pork Sausage products from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-changing injury.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Pork Sausage products are subject to recall:

  • Edwards of Conwy Traditional Pork Sausages, packaged in 400 gram trays with a use-by date of 11 September 2021, 12 September 2021, 21 September 2021 or 25 September 2021

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Edwards of Conwy has recalled certain batch/lots of Edwards of Conwy branded Traditional Pork Sausage products from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten.

==> For information about Wheat Allergy or Gluten Intolerance, please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Edwards of Conwy branded Traditional Pork Sausage products and could be allergic to their Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Edwards of Conwy branded Traditional Pork Sausage products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Pork Sausages to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: while these Pork Sausage products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products during the period ranging from August 1, 2021 to September 25, 2021, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
