Dairyland 1% Partly Skimmed Milk Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P., a Saint-Laurent, Québec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Dairyland branded 1% Partly Skimmed Milk products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Sanitizer contamination and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards/situations requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize suffering and prevent life-changing injury.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Skimmed Milk Dairy products are subject to this recall:

  • Dairyland branded 1% Partly Skimmed Milk, sold in 4 L containers with a best-before date code of SE 21 4015 and a UPC of 0 68700 01103 0

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Skimmed Milk Dairy products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, although it is always possible these Milk products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Saputo Dairy Products has recalled certain batch/lots of Dairyland branded 1% Partly Skimmed Milk Dairy products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Sanitizer contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Skimmed Milk identified above.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Dairyland branded 1% Partly Skimmed Milk Dairy, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
