Recall Category: Tires – Pinhole leak in Sidewall in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 139

NHTSA Safety Notification 21T012000 reports these Tires may have been manufactured with a pinhole in the outboard side of the Tire. As such, these Tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, “New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles.”

Logo - FirestoneAccording to the NHTSA, Tires containing a pinhole may slowly leak air, and the continued loss of air may increase the risk of a vehicle crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.
