US FlagUS/Washington: Dollar General, a Goodlettsville, Tennessee establishment, recalls an estimated 155,000 Dollar General True Living Sling Lounger Chairs from the American marketplace due to suspected structural collapse and consequential risks of falls, laceration, amputation, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury, all serious conditions requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain True Living Sling Lounger Chairs marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, as follows:

  • True Living Sling Loungers, sold exclusively in lime green or light blue at Dollar General stores in 2019 with a UPC of 430001047344

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Living Sling Loungers can collapse unexpectedly, posing amputation, laceration and/or pinching hazards if fingers get caught in the metal folding joints when utilizing the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled True Living Sling Loungers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly cut the fabric of the chair rendering it unusable, and contact Dollar General to return the recalled Loungers for a full refund of the purchase price.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.
