Additional information:
Among the ninety-eight (98) recalls the NHTSA announced in July, came news of the following:
PACCAR Incorporated (“PACCAR”), a Bellevue, Washington establishment, has recalled an estimated 1,441 model year 2022 Kenworth T680, T880 and W990 Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.
Recall Category: Visibility – Windshield Defrost failure
NHTSA Safety Notification 21V546000 reports the HVAC Controls may have insufficient soldering between the Potentiometer(s) and the PCBA Board, resulting in windshield defrost failure.
According to the NHTSA, inoperative Windshield Defrost may reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.
