US FlagUS/Washington: Walgreen Co., a Deerfield, Illinois establishment, recalls an estimated 54,000 Disney Baby branded Winnie the Pooh Rattle Sets from the American marketplace due to suspected component detachment consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involved certain Disney Baby branded Winnie the Pooh Rattle Sets marketed, sold and delivered for children over the age of three months of age in the United States, as follows:

  • Disney Baby Winnie the Pooh Rattle Sets, each consisting of three (3) Rattles and is marked for children ages 3 months and older. The subject Rattle, which has the character Winnie the Pooh as part of the toy, is blue and red with green and yellow shapes and is approximately 6.7 inches high

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional images of the recalled Rattle products can be found on the Web site listed above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the feet on the Winnie the Pooh Rattles can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children when utilizing the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use. Walgreens has received eight (8) reports of the feet on the Winnie the Pooh Rattles detaching. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Disney Baby Winnie the Pooh Rattle Sets, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.
