UK FlagUK/London: Logo - UK Food Standards AgencyShores Seafood Pembrokeshire recalls all current batch/lots of Prepared Seafood consisting of Fresh and Frozen Crabs and Lobsters from the British marketplace due to suspected production in an establishment without the necessary regulatory approval, meaning the Seafood products do not meet UK food safety requirements. Due to these reported defects, the recalled Fresh and Frozen Crabs and Lobsters are, therefore, deemed unfit for human consumption with consequential risks of bacterial and/or viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Fresh and Frozen Crabs and Lobsters are subject to recall:

  • Shores Seafood Pembrokeshire Prepared Seafood, specifically Fresh and Frozen Crabs and/or Lobsters; affected batch/lots: all products purchased on or after 26 April 2021.

==> No barcodes, EANs, NDCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Shores Seafood Pembrokeshire has recalled all Prepared Seafood (Fresh and Frozen Crabs and Lobsters) from the British marketplace due to suspected production in an establishment without the necessary regulatory approval. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Fresh and Frozen Crabs and/or Lobsters identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Prepared Seafood (Fresh and Frozen Crabs and Lobsters), please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Seafood to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial and/or viral poisonings.
