Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Kaisercraft Pty Ltd, a Geelong, Victoria Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Kids Plastic Drink Bottles from the Australian marketplace due to suspected component detachment and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards requiring emergency medical attention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Plastic Drink Bottles are subject to this recall:

  • Kaisercraft Kids Plastic Drink Bottles, sold in various colours and designs each measuring 500 mL or 700 mL in volume

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Plastic Drink Bottle products are thought to have been marketed, distributed and sold in all Australian states although it is always possible these Drink Bottles had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the small Silicone Valve in the Cap of the Drink Bottle may separate. If this defect occurs separates from the cap, it may pose choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis, especially for young children, which can lead to severe injury and/or death. As a result of these reported defects and risks, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Plastic Drink Bottles products identified above.

In general, if glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Kaisercraft Kids Plastic Drink Bottles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.
