US FlagUS/Washington: Booph, a Shenzhen, China establishment, recalls an estimated 4,900 Children’s Nightgowns Sold Exclusively on Amazon.com from the American marketplace due to suspected violation of US Federal Flammability Standards failure and consequential risks of burns, scalds, and/or other life-changing injuries, all serious conditions requiring immediate medical attention.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves ten (10) styles of Booph’s 100% Cotton Children’s Nightgowns marketed, sold and delivered in the United States by Amazon.com, as follows:

  • Booph’s 100% Cotton Children’s Nightgowns, sold in sizes 2 – 3T, 3 – 4T, 5 years, 6 – 7 years, 7 – 8 years and 9 – 10 years. The short or long-sleeved Nightgowns have fruit prints and were sold in white, blue, purple and two shades of pink colors. The applicable size, “100% Cotton”, and “Made in China” can be found sewn on the inner label of the garment’s hem line.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled products can be found on the Web site listed above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Nightgowns fail to meet the US Federal Flammability Standards for Children’s Sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Children’s Nightgowns, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly burns, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory collapse.
