US FlagUS/Washington: TBD Liquids LLC, of Santa Rosa, California establishment, recalls all current batch/lots (estimated to be 1,000 bottles) of TBD branded Liquid Nicotine products from the American marketplace due to reported failure to meet US child resistant closure requirements under the US Poison Prevention Packaging Act and consequential risks of child poisoning, drug overdose, ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain TBD branded Liquid Nicotine Products, as follows:

  • The “Best Damn Liquids” branded Liquid Nicotine Products marketed, sold and delivered in all flavors and packaged in clear plastic bottles of 120 mL and 240 mL sizes with a continuously threaded cap closures.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification

According to the CPSC, this recall was initiated because the products contain the chemical Liquid Nicotine, a substance that must be sold, stored and dispensed in child resistant packaging as required by the US Poison Prevention Packaging Act (“PPPA”). The packaging of these products, however, is not child resistant, thus posing a risk of chemical burns, drug overdose and irritation to the skin, eyes, throat and GI tract, if swallowed, inhaled or placed on the skin. In addition, the label on these chemical products may violate the US Federal Hazardous Substance Act (“FHSA”) by possibly omitting the word “POISON” and other mandatory warning information on the packaging.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled The “Best Damn Liquids” branded Liquid Nicotine products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly store the chemicals in a safe location out of sight and reach of children, preferable under lock and key, and contact TBD Liquids for a full refund in the form of a gift card or free replacement. TBD Liquids is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Please note: Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect the drinking water supply and the ecosystem.
