US FlagCanada FlagUS/Washington & Canada/Ottawa: Gramr Inc., doing business as Causebox (on May 18, 2021, Gramr, Inc. changed its d/b/a name from Causebox to Alltrue.), recalls an estimated total 105,000 Brushed Gold Tea Kettles (approximately 92,135 in the US and approximately 12,865 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to increased chances of hot water and/or steam expulsion with consequential risks of life-changing burns and/or scalds as well as property damage.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain stainless-steel tea kettle with a brushed gold finish that was included in the winter Causebox Subscription Box along with five (5) other items.

  • The recalled Kettles measure approximately 5-1/2 (5.5) inches in diameter and approximately eight (8) inches from the bottom of the Kettle to the top of the handle. The imprint, “Rose & Fitzgerald” can be found stamped on the bottom of each Kettle.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Kettles can expel hot water and/or excessive steam during use, posing risks of burn and scalds. Gramr has received 122 reports of the kettles expelling hot water and/or steam, including eighteen (18) reports of minor burn injuries.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Gramr Brushed Gold Tea Kettles, please do not use item. Instead, kindly contact Gramr for a credit towards the purchase of another product or a refund. Gramr is contacting all known purchasers directly.
