Among the ninety (90) recalls the NHTSA announced this June, comes news of the following:

Logo - General Motors LLC ("GM")General Motors LLC (“GM”), a Detroit, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 380,498 model year 2010-2016 Cadillac SRX and 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Suspension – Rear Suspension Toe Link may loosen and separate

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V473000 reports the Rear Suspension Toe Link Adjuster may not have been tightened properly, which could result in a Loose Toe Link.

According to the NHTSA, a Loose Toe Link can separate and cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Authorized General Motors Dealers will replace the Adjustable Toe Link with a non-adjustable one, free of charge. Owners are advised to not drive their vehicle if they experience certain Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) warnings or other issues, such as unusual steering behavior, while driving.
