US FlagUS/Washington: LifeSeasons Inc., a Springville, Utah establishment, recalls an estimated 7,800 bottles of LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R Supplements from the American marketplace due to suspected failure to meet US child resistant closure requirements under the US Poison Prevention Packaging Act and consequential risks of child poisoning, ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R Supplements marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, as follows:

  • LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R Supplements with Iron, packaged in brown, 60-capsule count bottles with a white and red label, the LifeSeasons logo and a UPC of 5376000245. One of the following batch/lot designations and corresponding expiration dates can be found printed on the underside of each of the recalled bottles:
    • Batch/lot: 06242008; expiration date: 8/23
    • Batch/lot: 03262012; expiration date: 10/23
    • Batch/lot: 06242007; expiration date: 10/23
    • Batch/lot: 06242021; expiration date: 11/23

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Supplement products can be found on the Web site listed above.

==> No NDCs, DINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, this recall was initiated because the product reportedly contains the substance Iron, an element that must be sold and stored in child resistant packaging as required by the US Poison Prevention Packaging Act (“PPPA”). The packaging of the recalled Iron in these Supplements is reportedly not child resistant, posing a poisoning risk if the contents are swallowed by young children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled LifeSeasons Blood Nourish-R Supplements with Iron products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly store the Supplements in a safe location out of reach of children and contact LifeSeasons for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund, or a refund in the form of a merchandise credit for the amount equal to the purchase price

Please note: Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect the drinking water supply and the ecosystem.
