UK FlagUK/London: Novo Farina, a Colney, Norwich, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Simpleas Lightly Salted Pea Snacks from the British marketplace due to undeclared Gluten (Barley, Oats and/or Wheat), all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Salted Pea Snacks are subject to recall:

  • Simpleas Lightly Salted Pea Snacks, sold in 23 gram brown and green coloured bags with a batch/lot code of 028 21 and a best-before date of 28 January 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Novo Farina has recalled certain batch/lots of Simpleas Lightly Salted Pea Snacks from the British marketplace due to undeclared Gluten (Barley, Oats and/or Wheat).

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Salted Pea Snacks and could be allergic to their Gluten (Barley, Oats and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
