UK FlagUK/London: Liroy BV UK, a Dartford, Kent, England establishment, expands its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Sau Tao (Sun Shun Fuk) ST Amoy Bean Strip products from the British marketplace to include all current best-before dates and batch/lots.

The original recall was initiated due to undeclared Soya (Soy), a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Bean Strip products are subject to recall:

  • Sau Tao (Sun Shun Fuk) ST Amoy Bean Strips, packaged in 250 gram bags; affected best-before dates: all current batch/lots

Please note: the initial recall notification specified the single best-before date of 01 March 2022. An later update specified best-before dates of 01 September 2021, 01 March 2022, 13 March 2022, 15 March 2022 and 01 April 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Liroy BV UK has recalled certain batch/lots of Sau Tao (Sun Shun Fuk) ST Amoy Bean Strip products from the British marketplace due to undeclared Soya (Soy).

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Sau Tao ST Amoy Bean Strips and could be allergic to their Soya ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
