UK FlagUK/London: Wilton Wholefoods Ltd., a Downton, Wiltshire, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Sunrize Snacks branded Seaweed Peanut Crackers from the British marketplace due to undeclared Sesame, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Seaweed Peanut Crackers are subject to recall:

  • Sunrize Snacks branded Seaweed Peanut Crackers, marketed, sold and delivered in 200 gram clear plastic cello bags with a green label and a batch/lot code of 87473, 87993, 88508, 89115, 89901, 90302, 90936, 91463, 92269, 93576 or 95105 and best-before date months ranging from May 2021 to March 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Wilton Wholefoods has recalled certain batch/lots of Sunrize Snacks Seaweed Peanut Crackers from the British marketplace due to undeclared Sesame.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Sunrize Snacks Seaweed Peanut Crackers and could be allergic to their Sesame ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
