Among the ninety-seven (97) recalls the NHTSA announced this past month, comes news of the following:

Logo - Tiffin Motorhomes Inc.Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (“TMI”), a Red Bay, Alabama establishment has recalled an estimated 3,198 model year 2017-2021 Tiffin Bus and Tiffin Phaeton vehicles. marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Fuel System, Diesel – High Pressure Fuel Rail Assembly may leak fuel

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V306000 reports the Sealing Washer may not seat correctly in the Pilot Bore, allowing the High Pressure Fuel Rail Assembly to leak.

According to the NHTSA, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire, explosion, burns and/or smoke inhalation with consequential life-changing or life-ending results.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.
