Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Lounger Chairs are subject to this recall:

  • SCA Reclining Lounger Chairs, consumer-grade portable furniture marketed, sold and delivered as navy blue reclining camp chairs with a removable cup holder and a PLU of 573512

==> No barcodes, APNs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Reclining Lounger Chairs were reportedly marketed, distributed and sold in all Australian states and territories although it is always possible these chairs had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the Reclining Lounger Chairs’ design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, due to a reported manufacturing defect, the Chair’s rear legs may bend and collapse when used in a reclined position. If the Chair collapses while the chair is occupied, the occupant can suffer injuries, including falls, lacerations, broken bones and/or concussion.

As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should stop using the recalled Reclining Lounger Chairs identified above. Instead, please return the Chair(2) to your nearest Supercheap Auto store for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat laceration, bone fracture and/or concussion.
