US FlagUS/Washington: Hempstead Foodservice, a Hempstead, New York establishment, recalls an estimated 972 pounds of Hempstead Foodservice branded Pork Chop products from the American marketplace due to undeclared Soy, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Pork Chop products were produced on various dates between April 6, 2021 and April 30, 2021 and are subject to this recall:

  • Hempstead Foodservice branded Pork Chops, a fresh meat product sold, marketed and delivered in ten (10) 41-pound cardboard boxes in clear plastic bags.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Hempstead Foodservice branded Pork Chop products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US state of New York, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 47142 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Hempstead Foodservice branded Pork Chop products and could be allergic to their Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
