US FlagUS/Washington: Bellisio Foods, Inc., a Jackson, Ohio establishment, recalls an estimated 3,927 pounds of not-ready-to-eat (“NRTE”) Michelina’s branded Spaghetti with Meat Sauce products from the American marketplace due to undeclared Soy, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Spaghetti products are subject to this recall:

  • Michelina’s branded Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, a processed food product marketed, sold and delivered in 8.5-ounce paperboard trays with a batch/lot designation of J1112N8, a best-by date code of 22APR2022 and a UPC of 7 17854 10503 9.

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Michelina’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all US states although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, the Spaghetti products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 18297” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled ichelina’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce products products and could be allergic to their Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
