US FlagUS/Washington: Sauder Woodworking Co., an Archbold, Ohio establishment, recalls an estimated 3,100 Sauder and Aliesha-May Counter-Height Bar Stools from the American marketplace due to suspected structural collapse and consequential risks of falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves Counter-Height Bar Stools sold under the Sauder and Aliesha-May brands, as follows:

  • The recalled Stools have powder-coated steel legs, cross braces and a backless rectangular oak-finished composite seat. The Stools measure approximately 23.5 inches high by 14.5 inches wide and 12.25 inches deep. The Stools were manufactured between September 2019 and August 2020. A label with the manufacturing date code in the MM/YYYY format (09/2019 through 08/2020) is located on the bottom surface of the seat. The Stools were marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, in sets of two (2) Chairs.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the legs on the Stools can become unstable over time, posing a fall hazard to people who utilize the furniture products in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Counter-Height Bar Stools sold under the Sauder and Aliesha-May brands, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
