Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Original Two-BiteGive and Go Prepared Foods Corp., a Toronto, Ontario establishment and subsidiary of Mondelez International, recalls certain batch/lots of Original Two-Bite branded Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected spoilage and possible Mould/Mold contamination with consequential risks of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products are subject to this recall:

  • Give and Go Original Two-Bite branded Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, a processed food product marketed, sold and delivered in 250 gram packages with a batch/lot of 21081 and a UPC of 7 70981 09411 3

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Give and Go Prepared Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Original Two-Bite branded Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected spoilage and possible Mould/Mold contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Original Two-Bite branded Chocolate Chip Banana Bread products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the Banana Bread to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
