Among the sixty-two (62) recalls the NHTSA announced this month, comes news of the following:

Logo - Subaru of America, Inc.Subaru of America, Inc. (“Subaru”), a Camden, New Jersey establishment and a subsidiary of Subaru Corporation of Japan recalls an estimated 408,271 Subaru Crosstrek, 2019 Crosstrek Hybrid and 2019 Forester vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Suspension – Rear Stabilizer Bracket Bolts may detach

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V263000 reports the Rear Stabilizer Bracket Bolts in the recalled Subaru vehicles may loosen and detach.

According to the NHTSA, missing Bolts may allow the Rear Stabilizer Bracket to shift, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Subaru will notify registered owners, and dealers will re-torque and replace any missing Bolts, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 14, 2021. Owners may contact Subaru Customer Service toll-free at 1-844-373-6614 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Subaru’s designation for this recall is WRD-21.
