UK FlagUK/London: Hotel Chocolat Limited, a Royston, Hertfordshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Ugly But Good Bag Lychee & Rose Chocolates from the British marketplace due to undeclared Hazelnuts and Macadamia Nuts, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Chocolates products are subject to recall:

  • Ugly But Good Bag Lychee & Rose Chocolates, sold in 300 gram bags with a batch/lot of 21028, and a best-before date of 31 May 2021

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Hotel Chocolat Limited has recalled certain batch/lots of Ugly But Good Bag Lychee & Rose Chocolates from the British marketplace due to undeclared Hazelnuts and Macadamia Nuts.

==> For information about Nut Allergy (including Peanuts and Tree Nuts such as Hazelnuts and/or Macadamia Nuts), please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Ugly But Good Bag Lychee & Rose Chocolates and could be allergic to their Hazelnut and/or Macadamia Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
