Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Destination Holdings Pty Ltd., a Nedlands, Western Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Taylor Rd IGA Pork Chipolatas from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Gluten and Soy, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Pork Chipolata products are subject to this recall:

  • Taylor Rd IGA Pork Chipolatas, 500 gram (approximately) packages consisting of a plastic tray with a clear plastic film overlay; affected best-before dates: all best-before dates up to and including 17 March 2021

==> No barcodes, APNs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Pork Chipolatas were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Australian state of Western Australia although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the ACCC, Destination Holdings has recalled certain batch/lots of Taylor Rd IGA Pork Chipolatas from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Gluten and Soy.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled IGA Pork Chipolatas and could be allergic to their Gluten and/or Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: while these food products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products from March 1, 2021 to April 20, 2021, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
