US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Lake Champlain Chocolates (“LCC”), a Burlington, Vermont establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Mr. Goodtime Chocolate Bunny Confections from the American marketplace due to undeclared Almond Nuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Chocolate Confectionery products are subject to this recall:

  • Mr. Goodtime Chocolate Bunny Confections, marketed, sold and delivered in 3.25 pound (1.75 kilogram) cello-bag packages with a white label with a best-by date of 11/20/21 and reportedly available for purchase on dates ranging between 2/22/21 and 3/25/21

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Chocolate Confectionery products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US states of CA, CT, MA, NH, NY, RI, TX, VT and VA as well as from the company’s retail store in Burlington, Vermont although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Lake Champlain Chocolates has recalled certain batch/lots of Mr. Goodtime Chocolate Bunny Confections from the American marketplace due to undeclared Almond Nuts.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Mr. Goodtime Chocolate Bunny Confections and could be allergic to their Almond Nuts ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
